石破幹事長の「核廃棄物処理場建設推進」発言は納得できない(森 功)
小泉純一郎さんの原発ゼロ発言に対抗しているのでしょうが、自民党の石破茂幹事長が突然、核廃棄物処理場の建設を推進すべきだと言い出しました。０２年に処分場の候補地を公募し、唯一高知県の東洋町が手を挙げたあと撤回。以来、候補地探しをしてこなかったのに今さら、とは誰もが感じるでしょう。
使用済み核燃料１．７万トンは各原発のプールに保管され満杯状態。新聞によれば、ここへ来て細田博之さんなどが、「各県が持ち回りで保管していけばいい」なんてことまで言っています。なかなか理解しづらい発言ですが、よく受け止めたら、「原発即ゼロは難しいので時間稼ぎしたい」という発想でしょう。どのような道筋で原発を減らしていこうとするのか、そこを示さないままでは、どうにも納得できません。
